So, who the heck is Zack DeZon?
Zack DeZon is a freelance fashion and portraiture photographer based out of Brooklyn, NY. He’s also obsessed with pizza.
What made you become a part of Daily BR!NK?
One night, after a few too many drinks, Gary and Jeremy convinced me that it was a good idea to start a website where we would commit to interviewing and shooting five interesting up-and-comers a week. Gary wouldn’t budge on the number. It still seemed like a good idea in the morning, so I ran with it.
What’s your “thing?” What industry do you work in?
The editorial fashion photography industry mainly, but I also have plans to work in video, namely commercials and music videos. It’s pretty far out there, as far as goals go, but I’m determined to make my mark.
You’re a super-creative guy. Tell us who and what inspires you.
My favorite photographers are Nick Knight, Philip-Lorca DiCorcia, and Gregory Crewdson. I’ve always been about high production values, I guess. But also high-concept.
What type of people would you like to connect with?
I’m always looking to build my network in photography. Designers, stylists, makeup/hair artists, models and other photographers and directors all really inspire me. I love to just sit and talk shop with people in this field, and if we can help each other produce something great, all the better. But honestly, I’d love to get to know anybody that has a passion for something. It’s the largest and most selfish reason I got involved with BR!NK in the first place.
